Carry Buddha from LA to SF.

Ami forwarded a help notice from Dharma Drum Mountain SF Chapter to me. They needed someone to carry a Buddha Statue from Los Angeles chapter to San Francisco chapter.
Since I needed to join the ICTPA Annual conference, we were happy to do so.
Ami and I decided to stop by Buddha's Light Mountain -
the Hsi Lai Temple ,which is highly recommended by Albert. Since we had never been there, so we were happy to check it out.
First, I was waiting the longest line to pick up a rental car. It took more than 40 minutes to get a small compact car. All you need was the patience.

When we went to the Hsi Lai Temple, Ami and I just WOW- what a magnificent entrance. It's hard to believe that we were in Los Angeles.

It is the
traditional to bath baby Buddha on the Sakyamuni's Birthday, which means to clean your body and mind and then attain true Widsom and unlimited Compassion.

We then went to Dharma Drum Mountain LA Chapter to carry the Buddha Statue.

Each Buddhist Association has different characteristics. We finally arrived the DDM LA Chapter. DDM foucs on Chan (Zen) practice. Therefore, the medidation is not like other associations. Here we are the destination.

I was very emotional at the moment, because I spent some years in the DDM NY Chapter.

LA Tour with Albert and Rita

We had dinner in a Himalaya restaurants near Venice Beach, Los Angeles. The food was not bad. The most important was that you shared food with good friends on the Mid Autumn Festival. Cheers!Albert and I wore the same watch on the day. What a condience!. We have been good friends since we were 15 years old. It has been more than 20 years.
